The thrilling sceneries and the conglomerate of beautiful and greener trees that overlook the waters of the Bedford Basin, give anyone a befitting welcome to the Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) - a public university, founded in 1873 and situated in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, which specializes in providing excellent and unparalleled education, basically for undergraduate programs.

The courses and programs offered at Mount Saint Vincent University are but not limited to travel and hospitality, health and medicine, business administration and management, creative arts and design, communication, social studies and media, and applied and pure sciences. However, the institution has added another feather to its cap through the incorporation of 13 graduate degrees in areas such as Child and Youth Study, Public Relations and Women’s Studies, Education, Applied Human Nutrition, School Psychology, and Family Studies and Gerontology.

Moreover, MSVU, in partnership with Acadia University and St. Francis Xavier University, has launched a doctorate program in Educational Studies. MSVU also offers more than 190 courses, not less than ten undergraduate programs, and four graduate degree programs, through the Moodle online learning platform.

With approximately 23 students per class, the students at MSVU have free access to their professors. Thus, facilitating better student-lecturer relationship, which makes students learn and understand their courses faster and better. Besides, there are many work opportunities for MSVU students, from research assistant-ship under a professor to working as an intern (CO-OP) in reputable organisations. Undoubtedly, these experiences empower MSVU students with the skills needed in excelling in their respective disciplines and of course, prepare them to solve real-world problems.

MSVU is home to three Canada Research Chairs and Atlantic NSERC Women in Science and Engineering’s Chair among others, it is certain that students will receive modern pedagogy and hands-on practical training at this university.
