Do Canadian universities look at grade 9 and 10 marks? I'm currently in grade 10 but I've been having several challenges with passing my classes. My grade 9 marks are pretty good (70-90) but my grade 10 marks are bellow average. Will this affect me when applying for a university or college?

Colleges and universities only look at your marks from grade 12, the best six marks precisely. Marks from previous grades only matters when you're applying for early acceptance into the university.

They only look at your transcripts from grade 12 and your grade 11 and 10 for early admission.

In my own case, I missed school a lot in gr. 10 which led to me scoring poor marks so I was worried if universities will access my gr. 10 marks to accept me but my gr. 12 was used instead. You don't have to worry, just work on improving your subsequent marks in gr. 11 and 12

Work on your grade 11 and 12 marks because they are most important when applying to the university/college. If you have a counsellor in your school, try discussing this with them too so they can give you the best advice possible.

Goodluck.

I would like to know how to access student loans to study in Canada. I am currently a refugee in Canada and I gain early admission to University of Ottawa with my grade 11 result to study Nursing. My refugee is not yet approved and it means I will have to study as an international student which is very quite expensive, that is the reason I am looking for student loan for international student.

Unfortunately, the privileges of getting student loans in Canada as an international student is limited and almost impossible especially government loans and grants - Permanent Residence, Canadian citizens and Protected persons are only eligible for this type of loans. However, Canadian banks offers Student Line of Credit (SLOC) to students, provided that you have a good credit score in Canada. Perhaps you can try applying for the SLOC at your bank.

Goodluck!
